Last Minute TV Show: Phoo Action
Catch the Phoo Action pilot at 9pm, 11 February 2008 on BBC Three. It’s based on a Jamie Hewlett (of Tank Girl / Gorillaz fame) comic strip. It looks very Kill Bill in it’s style (although that was stolen wholesale from elsewhere) and it’s set in 2012. It’s directed by Euros Lyn whose notable others include an episode of Doctor Who.
Interestingly it’s filmed in Glasgow, I’m hoping the pilot is successful as it’ll be commissioned by BBC Scotland. It’s got to be better than the awful movie version of Tank Girl, either way I’ll let you know how it is.
